How PMI-SP exam is taken?

The PMI-SP exam is divided into five sections that cover different aspects of project scheduling. The first section is Schedule Strategy, which makes up 14% of the exam. The second section is Schedule Planning and Development, which is the largest section and makes up 31% of the exam. The third section is Schedule Monitoring and Controlling, which makes up 35% of the exam. The fourth section is Schedule Closeout, which is a smaller section that makes up 6% of the exam. Finally, the fifth section is Stakeholder Communications Management, which makes up 14% of the exam. By understanding these different sections, you can prepare effectively for the exam and ensure you’re ready to demonstrate your knowledge and expertise in project scheduling.

What is the PMI-SP Exam Format?

The PMI-SP exam is a computer-based test that consists of 170 questions. Of these, 150 are scored questions that will count towards your final score, while the remaining 20 are pretest questions that are not scored. You will have a total of 3.5 hours to complete the exam. The exam is administered by PearsonVUE, a leading provider of testing services, and can be taken at one of their testing centers. By understanding the format of the exam, you can prepare effectively and maximize your chances of success.

What is the eligibility criteria for this course and exam?

To be eligible to take the PMI-SP exam, you need either a high school degree or equivalent, along with 40 months of project scheduling experience within the last 5 years, and 40 hours of project scheduling education. Alternatively, you can have a four-year degree, along with 24 months of project scheduling experience within the last 5 years, and 30 hours of project scheduling education.
